A Small Moment

In a small moment

Aristotle was conceived,

in another Czar Nicholas

sighed last breath.

In a small moment

man found gravity; a star,

the roundness of the globe.

Small moment paints large

objects in life’s landscape.

Once visited, it has no path,

no address, a place only in time;

where all originates

with no return.

A small moment holds

a snowflake that never melts,

a season that never ends,

an elderly parents hand

that never turns cold.

No clock may measure its duration

nor yardstick measure it length.

It is small only; in time.
