Tranquil Pool

The years have passed quietly,

like the stream that fills this pool.

Periods of loneliness, frequently,

but always continuing to fill life full.

In this tranquil place life is replayed,

visiting those touched for an instant,

others who walked with me and stayed.

Only to leave for places far distant.

I find peace in this solitude,

knowing that my days are readily filled,

with laugher, friends, and gratitude,

for gifts and dreams fulfilled.

Now as I gaze upon this tranquil pool,

I’ll remember it soothed a heart to mend.

Wherever I am I’ll feel the pull,

to return again with a friend.
